A Reluctant Welcome

The first day of Fall. We're enjoying an Indian Summer, an entire one day of it. No worries, I'm not feeling as bad as this song suggests, but I thought some of the lyrics here were fitting for an Autumn that is here too soon.

I'm sorry that I haven't posted much lately, I'm currently bogged down with a volunteer project that is consuming every evening. I actually added a new label called "Volunteering" since I'm sure I'll be writing more on the topic, but I'm thinking that maybe I should have called it "Overcommitting" or "Sucka".

Ok, another Yo Gabba Gabba plug here, but I love, love, love this video. The animation, the ingenius imagery of listening, the song...everything about it. My kids love it too, probably because of the repeated viewings, and now it's on their lullaby playlist.

What better way to start off the weekend. Our latest fave song from our fave show Yo Gabba Gabba. Really...it's good, it's not just for kids!

Yo Gabba Gabba is kind of like the Banana Splits for this generation. They usually have a different indie band on the show doing kid songs. The Salteens are a band out of Vancouver B.C. Unfortunately, you can't download this song off iTunes, since the show owns it and they haven't released it yet.

Everyone Needs a Tiara Now & Then

Tonight we took turns wearing the tiara from the "big kids" toybox.

Boo doesn't like things on her head, even if they do have jewels in them. But for Bear, anything on his head is fun...especially a tiara!
